The Third Way versus Anti-war Progressives

The Third Way is no more than a crude attempt to construct a bogus coalition between the haves and the haves not:

Bogus because it entices the haves by assuring them that the economy will be sound and their interests would not be threatened, while promising the have-nots a world free from poverty and injustice.

Based on opportunism, it has no ideological commitment at all.

In a shocking finish to a surreal Democratic primary for Wisconsin governor, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly defeated front-running Rep. Francesca Hong in the state's primary election Tuesday, Aug. 11.

With about 99% of the vote in, Crowley holds a lead of more than 3,000 votes over Hong, according to DecisionDeskHQ.

Crowley has 313,348 votes, or 39.8%, while Hong has 310,037, or 39.4%

It's a remarkable comeback for Crowley, who had dropped out of the race July 8, polling in the single digits, before resurrecting his campaign July 17 with Gov. Tony Evers' support.

Hong, a democratic socialist, had a substantial lead in polls throughout the weeks before the primary, though many Democratic voters said they were undecided. Evers and others in the party pushed for Crowley, contending he's more electable against Tiffany than Hong is.

RON: It's disgusting how Bernie and AOC didn't endorse and campaign for Hong.

Had they campaigned for her she probably would have won.

Furthermore, Hong was just a regular person running for office who had no political experience and she had no robust political advisers to tell her DO NOT TALK ABOUT ANYTHING BUT YOUR FEW CORE ISSUES AND REPEAT THEM AD NAUSEUM and ignore all the stupid questions about underwater basketweaving, Thanksgiving and Fidel Castro's reading habits.

Additionally, her campaign should have scheduled interviews with national pundits who go on CNN and MSNOW and talk about Hong's position on Thanksgiving and underwater basketweaving; Hong should have crushed those pundits with her core issues and berated them for betraying voters by discussing irrelevant issues.

When I advised Dem candidates I always told them, STICK TO YOUR TOP THREE OR FOUR ISSUES AND DON'T STOP REPEATING THEM.

Most voters will only remember a few things about a candidate.

Democratic Party candidates still don't get it.

Even Bernie and AOC still don't get it.

Reporters and pundits are not your friends.

The media is not your friend.

Reporters and pundits are there to score points for themselves with their networks and are there to make news by asking the candidate dumb questions and eliciting a dumb answer.

Reporters and pundits love to score points by asking the candidate their opinion on underwater basket weaving and the reading habits of Fidel Castro.

Even Bernie and AOC bend over backwards trying to answer questions about underwater basketweaving instead of holding the reporter to account for asking dumb questions that voters don't care about.

Voters don't want to see their candidate entering holy matrimony with the dumb reporter; voters already despise reporters and pundits and they judge their candidate on whether or not their candidate knows how to kick reporters *** with the candidates' issues.

THEREFORE, the candidate must stick to their script no matter how boring or repeticious it may seem to the candidate.

Democrats just don't seem to understand that their constituents generally DETEST REPORTERS AND PUNDITS and they want to see a candidate who can bully reporters and pundits who ask their candidate dumb irrelevant questions.

Voters instinctively realize if their candidate cannot handle a dumb reporter or pundit asking dumb questions, then they may not vote for that candidate, since they can't even handle a dumb reporter or pundit.

Of course the top issues are MEDICARE-FOR-ALL, THE RENT IS TOO HIGH, HOUSING and EDUCATION IS UNAFFORDABLE, WAGES ARE STAGNANT, TAX THE RICH AND STOP DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION AND THE POLICE STATE.

A new political party could do what Democrats and Republicans will never do:

PASS A FEDERAL LAW MANDATING 100% federal funding of all federal elections.

That's how we get BIG DONORS out of politics; forget overturning CITIZENS UNITED and restoring ROE as long as Democrats allow this rogue GOP Court to remain in the majority.

You're never going to get this GOP Court to overturn CITIZENS UNITED.

And guess what? Centrist Democrats OPPOSE expanding the Supreme Court to a Dem majority on the Court.

That's why I say it's going to take a new political party to make real, serious permanent change to this bi-partisan rigged system.

The Democratic Party is so rigged by BIG DONORS such as the a-holes from THE THIRD WAY, that even if We The People elect a progressive candidate for President in the primary, THE THIRD WAY will use and manipulate SUPERDELEGATES to dismiss the progressive winner, dismiss the will of We The People in favor of their THIRD WAY CORPORATE CANDIDATE.

That's WHY AND HOW the Democratic Party is fundamentally screwed and impossible to change.

THE THIRD WAY looks at progressives and DSA candidates winning and they reassure themselves, Don't worry, we'll cancel the progressive winner of the Dem primary for President with our SUPERDELEGATES paid firewall.

Who and What is "THE THIRD WAY?"

"The Third Way" is a centrist Democrat group of moderates who get paid by BIG DONORS to represent the interest of their BIG DONORS.

Just like AIPAC, "The Third Way" considers anti-war progressives their arch enemy who wants to remove BIG DONORS from politics and federal elections.

Members include:

Clintonites promoted workfare instead of welfare; sought to give a "hand-up," instead of a "hand-out."

These same people created the pathway-to-prison, custom made for blacks, non-whites, the poverty stricken.
